Nutrition
In 1990, Mr. Pro USA & world bodybuilding champion Mike McCloud, handed me my first glimpse of hope in terms of getting into stellar fitness form. He was the first credible person to let me know I could also compete and do well as a natural bodybuilder. He gave me one sheet of paper which represented my daily food intake for the next twelve weeks.
He was right. Three months later I placed second in the Natural Mr. Pittsburgh, defeating eleven other young men in my height bracket. This experience changed my life. I was studying pre-med at Penn State at the time. He would train with me six days a week, and model daily what level of strength and tenacity it took to commit to a winning physique. We trained with our whole heart.
Since then, my life was inspired. I placed in the top one, two or three of every contest for fifteen years afterwards. I have used this championship platform to lead others, as Mike did for me, to better health, better bodies and better lives as well.
The training was intense and every day, but my body became cut, lean and the rock-hard look only after I adhered to that one sheet of paper he gave to me. It was the food plan that made all the difference.
It's the kitchen that counts most of all – the 24/7 when no one is looking that made my body change. I call it working smart.
In addition to proving the nutrition theorem true on stage, I continued to pursue my studies at Life School of Chiropractic as a doctor as a Nutrition Consultant diplomate with the AFPA.
I believe it takes the right leader, coach, athlete or doctor to inspire people. Give yourself the opportunity to benefit from a legacy of success in our nutritional health at Doctor Fitness.
